Phillipians 4:13
I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength! Christ can give you strength in times that you feel lost or hurt.
In Bethany Hamilton's case, she had to figure out that God will help you in those horrible times even if the timing isn't what you were hoping for. She had to try hard to trust the Lord, but once she figured it out ,she felt the strength in knowing that she is not alone.
God is with you... ALWAYS!

Romans 3:23
FOR ALL HAVE SINNED AND FALLEN SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD! We have all sinned but God will always forgive you no matter what you did. From lying to your sister to murdering, God will forgive you!
That doesn't mean that God is okay with you lying or murdering someone, but He will forgive you if you give Him your time and commitment to follow after Him.
Bonus: It feels REALLY good to have your sins forgiven by the Lord Almighty!
